We are well versed in ensuring that all grades of asbestos are removed safely and submit all the necessary notifications and discuss the best time for work to be undertaken to ensure minimal disruption.

Although asbestos is a hazardous material, it can only pose a risk to health if the asbestos fibres become airborne and are then inhaled. Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) only release fibres into the air when they are disturbed. ACMs in a good sealed condition and left undisturbed will not release fibres into the air and will not cause exposure and spread.

Controlled stripping techniques reduce exposure and adhere to the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR) and the Approved Code of Practice and Guidelines (ACOPS).

The area containing the asbestos is enclosed to make a sealed area and a negative air pressure unit fitted with HEPA filters is used to pull fresh air in to the enclosure as to not let asbestos fibres out into the surrounding environment. All waste removed is double bagged in asbestos bags ready for onward disposal to a licensed land fill site adhering to the Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005.

D A Brooks also hold a waste carries license and can issue consignment notes for waste disposal.
